The Plasma Pen is a device that uses Plasma technology to shrink of skin. It causes tiny areas of trauma that take about a week or more to heal. The new skin is tighter so it reduces laxity.

How do I know what treatment is best for me?

We offer a free consultation to discuss your individual needs and decide on an appropriate treatment plan for you.

Which areas can be treated?

The main areas that can be treated are:

  • Hooded Eyes
  • Under Eye Laxity
  • Loose Jowls
  • Saggy Neck
  • Loose Skin On Abdomen

It can also be used to remove Skin Tags and Moles.

When will I see the results?

There will be a recovery period of at least 7 days followed by a further period of healing of about a month. You will notice the results once the small scabs have healed. Most people require to repeat the treatment after 2-3 months. Some people may require 3 or 4 treatments.

Is it painful?

We apply a topical anaesthetic cream to the areas to be treated to minimise any discomfort.

What are the side effects?

There will be brown scabs that take about a week to fall off and the area might swell, especially if the eye area is treated. There may be pigmentation changes in darker skin types. We will assess your suitability at your consultation.

Is the treatment suitable for everyone?

You cannot have treatment during pregnancy or when breastfeeding.  Fitzpatrick Skin Types 4, 5 & 6 are not suitable. During your initial consultation we will take a full medical history to determine your suitability for treatment.

Is there any downtime?

Yes as previously mentioned there will be brown scabs that fall off after about a week and swelling that can last 3-4 days or sometimes longer.

Is there any aftercare?

After you’re procedure you will be given an aftercare leaflet, we advise you:

  • To use the aftercare cream provided at least twice a day but more often as needed
  • To try to keep the scabs as dry as possible
  • Not to use cooling products on the skin
  • To avoid rubbing or picking the scabs, allow them to fall off naturally
  • To avoid sports or sweating while the scabs are present
  • To avoid saunas, steam rooms or sun beds while the scabs are present
  • To always wear a sun screen SPF50 or above on your face
