DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal Fillers are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment. They add volume to specific areas such as the cheeks or lips and also reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin folds. Dermal Fillers replace the Hydralonic Acid (a natural, hydrating substance found in our skin) which our skin looses as we age.

At TLC we use a wide range of dermal fillers including Juvederm, Teosyal, Belotero and Radiesse.  These fillers can be used for cheek augmentation, chin, marionette lines, nasolabial lines, smokers lines, lip enhancement, Tear Trough Treatment, hand and décolletage hydration.

During your consultation we will recommend the dermal filler suited for you  All of our fillers are given with a topical anaesthetic and also contain a local anaesthetic designed to reduce any discomfort.

The effects of our fillers are instant, giving a softening and rejuvenating appearance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When will I see the results?

The results are immediate, however it is usual to experience some initial swelling, especially when the lips are treated.

How long will the effects last?

This varies from client to client and the area treated, but they usually last between 4 and 10 months. You can repeat your treatment after this time or even earlier if you would like to enhance the effect further

Is it painful?

Most clients say that they experience a stinging sensation when the product is applied. However, we minimise the discomfort by applying anaesthetic cream to the area for about 15 - 20 minutes before the procedure. The products also contain a local anaethetic so enhancing the pain relieving effect.

Are there any side effects?

Most clients experience swelling and tenderness especially to the lips. This will only last for about 24 – 48 hours. There might be slight bruising at the site which will subside after a couple of days.  This can be easily disguised by make up.  During your consultation your practitioner will give a more comprensive insite into potential side effects and how to minimise the risks of them happening.
